769 suspended globes that react to the people walking underneath. Each globe holds a color-changing LED and is wired into a cluster, so when visitors move through, pulses of color run across the field.
We built and tested it in the shop, took it apart, and put it back up on site. Every globe was tagged to its cluster before it shipped. A globe on the wrong cluster still lights up, it just fires at the wrong time, so the tagging mattered.
